When is Winter in Manali?
- December: Snow begins, Solang Valley gets white, magical Christmas atmosphere
- January-February: Peak winter, heavy snowfall, -5°C to -10°C at night
- March: Snow melts begin, pleasant days, still snowy at higher altitudes

Road Conditions: What to Expect
Rohtang Pass is CLOSED in winter (November to May). However, the Atal Tunnel (2020) connects Manali to Lahaul Valley year-round and is the new winter gateway. Road from Delhi to Manali is mostly clear, but Manali town roads can be icy. Always carry chains if driving.
